I am so sorry to learn about Parimal's sad demise. When I got admitted to St.Xavier's College Kolkata Christian Hostel, Parimal was like my guardian angel. He gave me proper guidance and helped me to adjust to a new way of life. I will always remember him as a warm hearted helpful individual who was always approachable. He may have left us but his memory will remain with me for the rest of my life.

Parimal's death was a surprise.  He used to come from Ranchi and during the schooldays 1960-1969 he was located at MURI, SE Railway.  His Papa was the chief of HRD at the INDALCO plant there.  Once he came back from holiday with sample of lac.  He told us how lac is grown from trees - that it is the tree sap. That it is the main insulation for electrical applications.  HIS PAPA was a big man and well known in the district at the Hostel he spent a lot of time talking to us.

At the Hostel any parent visiting the school was like as though our parent had come.  The boy, here Parimal, was thought to be lucky and we flocked around to meet the parent and see the gifts this boy would receive.

Later when I went to school in 1970 I met Father Kongari.  He is perhaps an Uncle or cousin.  Unfortunately I have not kept so much in touch with the School to know more about Fr Kongari let me wish him all the best. I express my desire to meet him during the Jublee Reunoin.

Parimal spent many years in Kolkata and used to share a flat in Jodhpur Park this was after his PGDM from IIM Kolkata.  Alongwith Ashok Mukherjee at the Xavier's Hostel Ranjit Banerjee 1969 was also there.
