The lethal combination of Ramesh Singh and Stylo was too much for the opponents (in football). As a sprinter, he was the best in those days. He was so popular that even today we remember him though myself is from 1976 batch.

I was saddened to read about Ramesh's pre mature death. Ramesh was a good friend of mine of many years at school and outside school, we shared a mutual interest in Football, Hockey, Sports and Cricket. Ramesh was with me at Gonzaga House for some years and as true sportsman assisted me in winning the House Championship in 1968, when I was the Captain of Gonzaga. I have many fond memories of Ramesh and last time I met up with him was at his hotel at Sudder Street, Kolkata, and Ramesh was extremely generous in treating me to a delicious dinner. in 1982 when I was visiting India. Ramesh, Shantanu and I had played Hockey for Armenian Club. He was a formidable sports man. May his Sole rest in Peace.

A good friend Swapan Samanta 1968 Batch.
