Vampy as he was known in our time was a Maths teacher and a wonderful human being. I remember he almost told us what questions he would set for the exams by saying 'important', 'very important' and most important'. We were fortunate to have such dedicated and loving teachers. R.I.P. and thanks for the help we can never repay.

Mathew Sir used to teach us History. He was so loving, we never feared him, however his class used to be playground sometimes. Since history was mosty after tiffin period, his class used to be either playing with chawk or sleeping. He noticed us and used to add his comments along with the passage he read through. Like, "In 1914, Germany attacked France, and i can see Vikas throwing chawk and alok missing it, and Belgium." It used to be hilarious. And if any one of us complained that, sir, he is sleeping...his regular answer used to be, "O, Let the sleeping dog lie". in Civics, his favourite clause use to be, MLA means yeh mein le and yeh mein le (showing both pockets). :-) Such memories makes me nostalgic. On this Teacher's day, I bow down to the great departed soul. RIP Sir.
