2018. For the John Moore Centenary celebration. Apart from honoring the great man it was an awesome experience to catch up with Frs Slattery, Keogh, Herbert as well as the eternal Bulu Imam and other Hoxans. Congratulations to the young students who were so creative in presenting John Moore's life. It was a special privilege to meet with the current students in the same classroom corridors we walked in our youth.

Very sad to report that Fr Barry O'Loughlin passed away in Melbourne on Monday 5th August after a long battle with diabetes which he bore with great dignity and patience. He was in Australia on a sabbatical and for treatment but was looking forward to returning to India his home for more than fifty years. He will be sorely missed by all of us who were lucky and privileged to be associated with him. May his dear soul rest in peace.

I was really saddened to hear about the passing of my friend Unni Nair. I recall with fondness how he would come and spend time with my brothers and me at Muri Railway station while we used to have this long wait for the Ranchi-Howrah Express to take us home to Kharagpur for the school holidays. Also the times we got to catch up while he was in IIT Kgp indulging in the simple pleasures of riding our bikes together on the roads and avenues of the railway colony and the IIT campus. I will also be eternally grateful to him for helping me in class with my struggles in Hindi. Rest in Peace my friend. You will live forever in our hearts and minds. My sincere condolences to his family.
