Anandamoy passed away around 3.30 AM this morning (July 16th, 2015) in a Siliguri nursing home from complications arising out of his heart related problems and his fight against cancer. He is survived by his wife Aloka, son Shubhomoy and daughter Anindita and their families.

Bhaktimay Ray Chaudhury (1960)
My brother Anandamoy and I together joined the school in 1954. He was senior to me by a year and completed school education in 1959. While in the IAF he was a specialist in both Aviation Medicine and Pathology. He left the IAF owing to his bad health. Two of his favourite postings were in a unit he loved, the Airforce Hospital in Hashimara. Upon retirement my brother took up his private practice seriously. He was loved by his patients as he was benevolent and thorough. His patients kept streaming into his clinic long after he had passed away. His friends will miss his generous spirit and jovial attitude. I miss my brother for his warmth and friendship.
